Hi there, welcome to my blog! I’m Kathleen and this is my space to share my experiences, thoughts and opinions on topics that affect my family and our lives.
Andrew and I have been married nearly 5 years after knowing of each other most of our lives. In fact, our grandfathers have been friends since they were young men and my father grew up at the same church as Andrew’s mother. My little sister is married to Andrew’s best friend. I guess you could say our lives have always been rather intertwined! It wasn’t until about 7 years ago that we actually got to know one another, but that is a story for another day.
Our first daughter, Aurora Eowyn, was born in July 2012. She turned our lives upside down, wrought havoc, sleepless nights and general chaos – and brought us closer together, taught us how to communicate properly and made us a family. Our Rory Roo is an all-round rockstar and we love her immensely. In February 2015 Elva Beryl Rose came rushing into our world 2 months early. Elva has an extra chromosome, and a whole lot of strength, fight and all round fierceness. We are all completely blown away by how incredibly beautiful and amazing she is.
